World Chief Instructor Walter Schmidt, Level 5 TCE Master, began his martial arts training in 1975. Walter has immersed himself in the studies of styles including Wing Tsun Kung Fu and Filipino Fighting Arts since 1982. Subsequently, Walter himself developed Tactical Combat Escrima in 1992 and Tactical Combat Systems a few years later. He has effectively refined these styles and systems into a solution oriented approach to transform classical fighting techniques and strategies into a world-class self-defense system perfectly suited for modern world combat applications.
His unique approach and flexible teaching methods has enabled Walter to successfully instruct a vast variety of individuals with different backgrounds. They are today’s TCS practitioners, who apply their skills with atrocious effectiveness.
Among his students and trainees, Walter has successfully taught both novices and martial arts experts alike. He has performed open to the public Self-Defense classes across the globe, travelling to Gemany, Australia and the United States. Walter's technical expertise and teaching acumen have shown extreme adaptability as his spectrum of students has ranged from the general public, Women's Self-Defense Groups and Law-Enforcement to Military Special Operators whose very survival depends on their personal skill sets in combat and self-defense.
